ROUTINE CONSULTATION REQUESTS.

We operate a phone first appointment system. All requests for a routine consultation with a doctor are triaged by a doctor. Telephone consultation requests are accepted by speaking to a receptionist from 9am each day until capacity for the day has been reached.

Please be aware that Monday mornings tend to have a long list of telephone triage requests.

It is important that we have up to date details for all our patients so if you have changed address or phone number can you please contact the reception to get it updated.

The receptionist will ask if she can help you. If you are happy to give brief details of your query it may be possible to have this dealt with there and then. However you will always have the option to request a consultation with a doctor.

You will receive a telephone call from a doctor on that day to allow you to discuss your health issues. If you require a face-to-face consultation that will normally be offered on the same day, however you can request a day or doctor of your choice.

ONCE CAPACITY HAS BEEN REACHED, TO MAINTAIN A SAFE AND TIMELY SERVICE, ONLY URGENT PROBLEMS WILL BE DEALT WITH.

URGENT CONSULTATION REQUESTS.

Our receptionists have been given a list of conditions that qualify as urgent. If your problem does fit the urgent criteria the receptionist will ask for more details and inform you that a doctor will assess the information and decide if your problem will be dealt with on that day or at a later date.
